Come chronicles the story of the disciples Matthew and Peter as they follow Jesus who is performing miracles right before their eyes. Yet Peter’s greatest test will be his response to the Lord saying “Come”.

The Hello Summer Book Tag

Hello!!

I know, I know… “another book post, Bella? You just did one!”… but what can I say? When my sweet friend M. L. Milligan‘s new book tag popped into my inbox, AND when I discovered I was tagged on it… welp, I couldn’t resist!

(If you don’t know what a book tag is, it’s basically a giant game of bookish tag. One blogger comes up with a list of questions about books, “tags” some blogger friends, and it continues around the blogisphere!! It’s so fun!)

Presenting the Hello Summer book tag!

🌼 Zeh Rules:

  • Mention the creator in your post and link back to the original post. (✔ Check!)

  • Link back to whomever tagged you. (✔ Check!)

  • Include the tag graphic in your post. (✔ Check!)

  • Have fun! (Aye eye, Cap’n! 😁)

Summer means sun!
☼ What’s a book that has a sunny setting? ☼

I think I’ll go with Running From Reality…

Running From Reality (#2 in Princess In Camo series) by Missy & Mia Robertson with Jill Osborne

I recently re-read these books that I loved when I was younger, and still loved them just as much! Such a cozy middle grade read!

School’s out and so are the kids.
☼ What’s your favorite middle-grade read thus far this year? ☼

Hehe, I’d probably go with the previous but I’ll pick a new one! 😉 This one was hard to choose! (who am I kidding, I’ll probably say that for all of them! 🤭) But, I think I’ll have to go with…

The Vanderbeekers of 141st Street by Karina Yan Glaser

This book had me giggling aloud! I’ve heard about it every where but was tickled pink when I sat down to read it!! The two runners up for this category were The Clockmaker’s Son by Jenny Phillips (my sister adored this book and convinced me to read it… I just finished it a few days ago and it was so good!) and Glitch by Laura Martin (an old favorite but was so fun for a re-read)!

Longer days are upon us!
☼  Name a long book that you have on your bookshelf (a physical copy or otherwise 😉). ☼

I think the longest book I have on my physical bookshelf is…

The Roman, The Twelve, & The King by Jenny L. Cote

This hefty novel is a whopping 646 pages! And boy are they an excellent 646 pages!! This is probably my most favorite out of all of Jenny’s books.

Summer means cold watermelon, iced drinks, and ice cream.
☼ Who’s a character you turned a cold shoulder to in the beginning, but eventually warmed up to? ☼

This one took some thinking! 😂 But I think I’ll go with Princess Amarna from…

From Peasant To Princess by Anna Grace Durham

Anna Grace is a dear friend of mine and I love her latest book! Princess Amarna had a great arc and definitely warmed up to her by the end!

Nobody likes rotten weather spoiling outside plans.
☼ Which book had an unexpected twist that you didn’t see coming? ☼

Gut answer: The Ascendance Series by Jennifer Nielsen like Mac said in her post! 😆

BUT in order to make my own, I’ll go with the Starlore Legacy by Chuck Black, specifically…

Oath by Chuck Black

I mean, guys… that ending… Pardon me while I waddle off to weep in a corner. 😭

Green thumbs rejoice at the opening of the growing season.
☼ Name a book with green on the cover. ☼

Oo!! I’ve got a perfectly green one, that I got in the mail today, actually!

This Gray Canvas by Jaiden Phillips

Jaiden just released this book a few days ago, and I’m super excited to read it!!

Summer is the season for reunions.
☼ What’s a series that incorporated characters or cameos from past books? ☼

Oh goodness, this was hard!

The Last Archer by S.D. Smith

I’m a MASSIVE fan on The Green Ember so getting to read more of the beloved characters in these companion books is so fun!

The thermometer is climbing . . . and shows no sign of stopping.
☼ What’s a book with high stakes that just kept getting more intense? ☼

Ooo yay a chance to fan about two of my favorite book series’!!! The stakes in this book were amazing! Kept me gasping and yelping! 😂

A-Spying We Will Go (#5 in The Accidental Cases Of Emily Abbott series) by Perry Elisabeth Kirkpatrick

Probably my favorite in the whole series’, I LOVED the stakes and intensity of this one!! But second place, would be Fugitive of Talionis by C.J. Milacci! The stakes… argh, so good!! 😍
